This power and serial data cable is suitable to be used in fixed installations, providing bare ended wires for power and serial data. An in-line fuse is included for protection. . A small enclosure in the middle of the cable contains the voltage regulator needed to reduce the 12 volt of the vehicle battery to  the level specified for the GPS.
