1-Ownership

This website is owned and maintained by Locatis-Sistemas de Navegação e Telemática, Lda., a company registered in Portugal with the number 3802 of the Mafra county, and VAT registration number PT504866249, and located at the adress Casa da Lagoa-Avessada, 2665-402 Santo Estevao das Gales, Portugal.  

2-Ordering process

2.1-Shop Browsing

The Online shop of this website is accessed from the Homepage by clicking 'Online shop' on the left handside of the display. You can freely browse our products by:

-Categories/Product Lines

-Shop search either by product code or the equipment for which you wish the accessory to fit (ex: Garmin  Nuvi)

-If you are already familiar with our products, access them directly from mid menu in the Homepage named 'Quick access to our products'. 

2.2-Placing an order

After deciding which item or items you wish to buy, just confirm the quantity and click on the 'Add to cart' button. The display will show you your cart contents and you can decide to continue browsing and add other items or chose to proceed to ckeckout. You can change the quantities or add/delete items until the checkout

After placing an order in this website, you will receive an email confirming the order and the details of invoicing and shippping.

Previous registration is not compulsory to purchase in our website. During the checkout process you will be prompted to input your email adress. An email with your username and a randomly generated password will be sent to you. It is up to you to use your registration or not, however it may be very usefull to check the status of your order, and in future purchases not having to enter shipping details again. To login in our site as a registered user just select Online Shop and the input area will appear in the left hand side of the display. You can anytime change your password or other details of your account.

2.3-Availability 

Item pages indicate the availability in stock for shipment. Orders placed until 12:00 Central European Time will be shipped the same day (except Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays), and orders placed later will be shipped the next working day.

For items not available in stock, the website will not allow ordering, but instead will prompt you to provide your email adress. When the item is back in stock you will receive an email warning the item is back in stock and orderable. 

2.4-Shipping options

Depending on the Country you are located, we have several shipping options available:

European Union Countries:   Registered Postal service (CTT): 3 to 4 working days.

USA and Canada: Registered Postal service (CTT): 5 to 7 working days.   

Other Countries:  Registered Postal service (CTT): 7 to 15 working days.   

At checkout, you will be prompted with the options and price for shipping to you to choose, based on items ordered and their weight.

2.5-Payment options

Several payment options are available, and you will be prompted at checkout for choice. Please note that not all options presented in the checkout are available to all countries:

European Countries with Euro currency:   Payment by credit card trough our gateway partner Paypal

Advance payment by Bank Transfer only using IBAN code.

IBAN code will be included in the confirmation email to be sent after ordering. We do not accept bank transfers based in SWIFT due to its high costs. Order will be shipped after reception of payment in our account.

Other Countries:  Payment by credit card our payment partner PayPal. Choose Paypal option at the checkout and our site will forward you to PayPal secure website. If you are already a registered Paypal user just type in your password and finish payment, if not provide your card information.

2.6-Taxes

Value Added Tax (VAT) of 23% is included in all prices listed in this website. For Customers outside European Union the VAT tax will be automatically removed from the price in the checkout process after the destination Country is inputed.

Goods are supplied in a CIF basis (charge, insurance and freight). For customers outside EU, the import duties, when applicable, are not included in the sales prices and will be charged by local Customs.

3-Warranty 

All products in this website are warranted against manufacturing defects for a period of 2 (two) years from the date of shipping. This warranty does not cover mishandling or the usage of the product for a purpose it was not meant for.

Customer returns the faulty unit to us and on the arrival of a unit for repair, Locatis will, depending on the fault found, either repair it or replace it by a new one. Items returned under warranty terms shall be sent to us with a note indicating clearly the fault found. Locatis will ship back the repaired or replaced unit without additional cost to the Customer.

For products with bare power wire ends, specially motorcycle cables, warranty does not cover faults resulting from polarity inversion during or after installation. In case you do not feel comfortable with vehicle electricals installation please request the installation service from your vehicle service point. 

4-Returns policy

Locatis accepts the return of purchased goods. In case the reason for the return is a product defect warranty terms described in 3. applies. For any other reason, we accept returns within 20 days after the date of shipping, providing the item is returned unused and in the original packaging. Customer will be refunded of the item price in full after the returned unit is received by us. Shipping costs are not refundable.

5-Installation 

Product prices in this website do not include any installation service. Installation is required for some of our produtcs, and detailed instructions are sent with the product when applicable. Most of the cases can be done by the customer, however in case you do not feel comfortable with vehicle electricals installation please request the installation service from your vehicle service point.

You must ensure that the unit and its mounting, does not impede or restrict the handling or the performance of the vehicle or motorcycle and that it does not restrict the driver's view of the instruments and dials, or the driver's view of the road condition ahead. Locatis shall not be liable for any resulting damage or accident resulting from the usage of its products.

6-Privacy 

Data provided by our customers, such as postal adress or email adress, will be only used for the purpose of order processing, namely shipping and invoicing. No information will be sold, rented, or in any way provided to third parties. Passwords entered or provided for registration are immediatly encrypted by the system, being not accesible by us or any other entity.

Bank details such as credit card information is not stored in our systems, being handled by our payment gateway partner in a highly secure system.
